Most Wanted Reads is inspired by Waiting on Wednesday hosted/created by Breaking the Spine. I just wanted to personalize it a little bit for me.

Ethan and Merit, Chocolates and Food
My favorite combination!

Merit has been a vampire for only a short while, but she’s already seen a lifetime’s worth of trouble. She and her Master, centuries-old Ethan Sullivan, have risked their lives time and again to save the city they love. But not all of Chicago is loving them back.

Anti-vampire riots are erupting all over town, striking vampires where it hurts the most. A splinter group armed with Molotov cocktails and deep-seated hate is intent on clearing the fanged from the Windy City come hell or high water.

Merit and her allies rush to figure out who’s behind the attacks, who will be targeted next, and whether there’s any way to stop the wanton destruction. The battle for Chicago is just beginning, and Merit is running out of time.

Chicagoland Vampires! One of my all time favorite urban fantasy series! What can I say? Every single book I Look forward to, turns out to be awesome and then I’m in waiting mode again! Look forward for more Ethan and Merit as always!

An ultimatum can break your heart….

Every night lead singer, Sed Lionheart whips thousands of women into a frenzy with his voice alone. But the stage is the only place Sed feels any passion since he lost Jessica…

If you’re not willing to break all the rules…

It shattered her heart, but law student Jessica broke off her engagement to Sed, determined to be successful on her own terms. But no other man can ever hold a candle to Sed…

Then a chance meeting and tortuously close quarters lead to uncontrollable flares of passion and rediscovery of their unique penchant for public encounters. Now, in addition to the risk of mutual heartbreak every time they get together, they’re in danger of truly scandalous public exposure…

Oh, no! Dear, god no! I absolutely freaking adored Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning. I had devoured that book and in no way would I doubt the next one would be just as awesome, but just as many of the reviews said, it was a nightmare. I was totally not expecting it either. I won’t say the whole book was a total nightmare though, because Olivia Cunning is an amazing erotica romance writer and I did enjoy some of ROCK HARD to some degree.

What my nightmare consisted of was that the heroine was a complete a drama queen and total bitch. Sed had a true love before Brian’s book and stuff happened. Let’s just say there was an engagement and they were to be married. They meet again and sparks fly between them. Both still hold feelings for each other.

I just can’t like a book where I cannot stand the heroine or hero. This case it’s the heroine. She has the bitchy attitude towards Sed and it’s like everything has to be her way. And she get upset at the dumbest things. I’m not going to go over every little thing, because I could probably write a book on how horrible her pissy little attitude was, but I don’t like heroines that are bitches. I rarely happen upon them.

I just wish Sed could’ve had a different heroine. A heroine that could’ve appreciated him more and thought of more than just herself. Sed really deserved much better. It’s too bad that his book was totally ruined for me, but I”m over it and I’m moving on! There were still moments in ROCK HARD, you know moments you love to read about, but my hate for Jessica overpowered everything. I just couldn’t like this installment of Sinners on Tour as much as the first, but I still have hope for the rest of them, of course!

Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction… my every desire… mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful… except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession…

His teeth sank into my lower lip with enough force to hurt.“You think you can say a few words and end us? Th ere is no end, Eva.”

REFLECTED IN YOU was absolutely and utterly molded into PERFECTION! Crossfire will forever be an absolute favorite erotica romance series of mine! I just cannot get enough of Gideon and Eva! They blow me away each and every time! I tried to hold off reading this a lot, because I wanted it to last, and that didn’t work out so well for me! I just keep devouring these books!

“Baby girl,” he drawled. “I want to sympathize, I do, but the love triangle thing is just too delicious. The determined rock star and the possessive billionaire. Rawr. ”

REFLECTED IN YOU does pick up right after Bared to You. Eva and Gideon are working hard on their relationship because they desperately want it to work and they know it is just impossible for them to live without each other. REFLECTED IN YOU was very emotionally draining. These two face problems with jealously, trust issues, possessiveness and the combination of the three are tearing them apart!

I couldn’t imagine that I’d ever fall in love again like I had with Gideon. For better or worse, he was my soul mate. The other half of me. In many ways, he was my reflection.

Eva wants to know about Gideon’s past. She makes no secret of wanting to know as do all of us. And it’s at a point where she just has to know. I think it’s more that she wants him to trust her with him telling her and Eva also gets a lot of insecurities in REFLECTED IN YOU, especially with Ms. Corinne Giroux. Eva really freaks out in this book and it really makes me mourn for her, but I am proud of her by the time the end of the novel nears. She has made huge improvements with her relationship with Gideon,

“Angel.” His lips brushed over my shoulder blade, his hands releasing my wrists to slide beneath me and cup my full, heavy breasts. “My stubborn, beautiful angel. Finally, we get to the truth.”

Oh, man. Gideon. I must say from the beginning until the end of REFLECTED IN YOU I had huge feelings of disappointment for Gideon. By the end of the novel, you get the reasons and it all comes down to Gideon protecting Eva and it makes my heart burn for him and pray by the end of this he gets the happy ending he deserves, but in the middle I was very disappointed with him. With the crazy possessiveness, and being cold, and knowing all these secrets he is keeping from Eva is hurting her and not telling her anything. Yes! A lot of this bothered me, but like I said, by the end, you tell yourself, “how could I have ever had thoughts of disappointment for my Gideon?”

I’m still going to go crazy until you get home. If that means you’re driven a little crazy with my safety pre-cautions, isn’t that part of the give-and-take?” I growled. “How do you make something unreasonable sound reasonable?” “It’s a gift.”

REFLECTED IN YOU was freaking crazy with the relationship drama and wow! By the end of this book, Eva and Gideon are really more trusting of each other and seem much happier because of the trust and the silly insecurities are now gone and the possessiveness? Ha! That will never be gone! They wanna possess the hell out of each other! The ending is jaw dropping and totally had one of those OMFG moments attached to it! PURE LOVE! I am really looking forward to the third book in this amazing erotica romance series, Entwined with You, which thankfully will be out this December!

Dorina Basarab is a dhampir-half human, half vampire. Subject to uncontrollable rages, most dhampirs live very short, very violent lives. So far Dory has managed to maintain her sanity by unleashing her anger on those demons and vampires who deserve killing.

Now Dory’s vampire father has come back into her life. Her Uncle Dracula (yes, the Dracula), infamous even among vampires for his cruelty and murderous ways, has escaped his prison. And her father wants Dory to work with gorgeous master vampire Louis-Cesare to put him back there.

Vampires and dhampirs are mortal enemies, and Dory prefers to work alone. But Dracula is the only thing on Earth that truly scares her, so when Dory has to go up against him, she’ll take all the help she can get… …

“Ah yes, my dear demented relatives. Drac, the homicidal maniac, Radu, the poncy lunatic, and dear, cowardly Daddy, sending us off to manage what he doesn’t dare to face himself.” I smiled, deliberately provocative. “Just imagine, I’m actually the normal one. Sort of like that blond chick on The Munsters .”

I didn’t realize how incredibly awesome the spin off to Cassandra Palmer was going to be! Let’s just say I was most definitely blown away! There were many laughable funny moments and I love the characters, maybe even more than in the Cassandra Palmer Series. MIDNIGHT’S DAUGHTER was definitely my brand of vampire book!

“Mess with my weed again and I’ll be informing Daddy that there was an early casualty on the mission.” I saw him wince at my designation for Mircea and grinned.

Our heroine, Dory is the Dhampir, half-human and half-vampire daughter of Mirecea. She man, does she have attitude and bad-ass-ness added on top of that! Micrea and Dory have a very strained relationship, but hopefully t hat gets resolved through later books! But MIDNIGHT’S DAUGHTER consists of her having to go on a mission to capture her uncle, Dracula and she has to go with none other than, Louis-Cesare!

“My lord…I can explain-,” Louis-Cesare began, looking less than certain that he could do anything of the kind. Radu held up a hand. “I am sure there is a perfectly good reason why my niece is naked and tied to her bed. I am also equally certain that I do not wish to hear it”.”

Louis-Cesare and Dory are a match made in heaven! What I love about Urban Fantasy series is we always have a this amazing couple who start out hating each other’s guts, but by a couple more books they are in love and are a couple! I can’t wait for more Louis-Cesare and Dory relationship developments! But they are bothe HILARIOUS in this book! SO many funny moments and laughs!

“I glanced at Radu. “What, exactly is Louis-Cesare’s problem?’. [..]
Suddenly a speculative gleam lit his eyes. It made me nervous. ‘He tends to be very protective of women,”he said thoughtfully. “You’re a woman Dory.” “Thank you for pointing that out. But I didn’t think dhampirs qualified.” Radu smirked. “It appears you’ve been upgraded.”

We learn about a lot of different character past and backstory and I am hoping to learn more in the upcoming books! There were parts that really dragged where it didn’t keep my attention, but overall it was an awesome start to the Dorina Basarab Series! Looking forward for more!

Q: Happy Mother’s Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?

So fictional mothers do not leave a huge impression on me, because most of the time it is suppose to be all about the heroine and that’s all I care about, but I just love it when an author is able to create those side characters that you can love! Even the family members, like the mothers. There’s one book I can think off the top of my head where I adored the mother!

Kristen Ashley’s The Gamble featuring Nina Sheridan’s mother.

I know it sucks. I cannot remember her name! ARRRGHHH! But she’s Nina’s mother. So there you go. I love her because she is just so crazy and hyper and all about her daughter’s love life. It’s too funny!

Favorite Nina Sheridan’s Mama moment
“When we faced Mom, we saw she was addressing Max. “We get to know each other I’ll get to hug you.” “Mom!” I snapped and Mom turned to me. “I get to do it when he doesn’t have a shirt on too. I’m calling it now,” Mom declared.”
